Representative Viebrock works hard for our first responders by helping to secure a large communications grant and delivering a much-needed piece of gas sniffing equipment to the Republic Fire Department. Additionally, Representative Viebrock co-authored a bill that would have restored funding to Springfield police and firefighter's retirement pensions. Working closely with Representative Smith, Chairmen of the Retirement Committee, Viebrock incorporated language that would require minimum contributions limits, with penalties, if the City failed to bring the retirement accounts back into solvency.
