PRO-LIFE or PRO-CHOICE ?
A statement from Jim Viebrock
The Missouri Right to Life Political Action Committee
There is a very serious topic that every person in public office must address, The on going debate of a woman's right to an abortion. I have been confronted with this topic many times, and no matter how you answer, someone is offended. I hope the following letter clears up any confusion on where I stand on this very important topic.
When you look at the above photo what do you see? Is this a "twenty year obligation"? Or is this the first thirty seconds of a life time of joy?
I'm afraid I have bad news. Our fight for the rights of the unborn is in serious danger of being lost. No matter how hard the pro-life groups fight to hold their ground, medical technology and the pro-choice movement just keep making strides to moralize this horrible act of murdering unborn humans.
Roe vs. Wade changed the way we view family planning. Partial birth abortions excused taking human life past the 22 weeks viability stage. The abortion pill made abortions one step away from being an over the counter experience and now we are accepting the next level of disgust- the growing of fetus' so they can be sold. Yes, I'm talking about young women actually becoming pregnant on purpose so they can sell the fetus to stem cell research. Now, how does that make you feel? It will be happening soon right here in the U.S. - if it has not already started on the "black market".
This progression must be stopped! Legislation must be enacted to halt the needless slaughter of unborn people. This will not happen under the current legislative body. We cannot allow this to continue to proceed.
My formal education was centered around plant propagation, and in the plant nursery business we consider a plant alive and growing the moment it emerges from the seed not the soil. Human life is much the same way. I feel life begins at conception not birth.
I often wonder what the lives of aborted children would have been like. We may have removed from existence a future President of the U.S. or the person who would have found a cure for cancer. We simply don't know the purpose God had in store for that individual.
In politics, this is a forbidden subject. I have been warned repeatedly not to write this letter. I must ignore this warning and strongly voice my concern toward this very important topic. My opponents will not only disagree with my opinion, but will vote in favor of continuing on this path of human destruction in the name of science.
I am not overly thrilled with this whole abortion thing. Just as we are unsure what happens to our consienceness at death, what if, conscienceness begins at conception? What if the dialiation and clean out of a growing fetus is the destruction of human life? Post abortion remorse is very real. Why?
Every year we become more and more calus toward this subject, it is just a matter of time before the abortion pill is available "over the counter". Abortions are preformed in hospital rooms with natural still births and miscarriages accuring in the next exam room over. In the news we hear about infants being left in garbage dumpsters and hot cars while waiting periods for adoption are almost a decade long. Did you know many modern adoptions provide full delivery services free of charge to the birth mother? Non-aborted babies get a chance at life, filled with love and oppertunity. Non-fertile parents recieve the joy they desire, young women are able to return to their regular life and nobody's hurt.
So, when you see me out and about and want to know where I stand on the subject of PRO-LIFE or PRO-CHOICE........
I'm not only PRO-LIFE, I'm PRO-ADOPTION!
