State Representative Jim Viebrock was named Vice-chairman of the Agriculture and Natural Resources Appropriations Committee this week in the Missouri House of Representatives.
Viebrock who has served on the committee for four years running will now directly oversee the decisions made regarding the funding of the Agriculture and Natural Resources departments. “We have important issues that need to be funded and sometimes that is a fight” Viebrock said. Both departments have taken huge reductions in their budgets over the last few years. “Managing the remaining resources efficiently is sometimes a challenge”, stated Viebrock, “we’ll have to set our priorities and stick to them.”
Representative Viebrock is a Republic native and is serving his third term in the Missouri Legislature.
